Better Living Through Charts and Graphs

This Sunday, the paper of record published a jaw dropping graphic element aimed at explaining the character relationships entwined in R. Kelly’s Trapped in a Closet opus. Please, take a moment to look at this chart as well as this one – they’re the work of a music blogger Andrew Kuo. Now, I find Trapped in a Closet as accessible as Faulkner is to a 4th grader, but I have to admit with chart in hand I would indeed be better prepared for listening. It turns out these charts and graphs are Mr. Kuo’s schtick – and let me tell you, it’s a great one. Here’s another, also published in the Times, that serves as a graphical representation of his experiences at seven consecutive nights attending Bright Eyes concerts.
